As the company commissioned by the NFL to make the Super Bowl flip coin for the past 10 years the Highland Mint has been granted the approval to go back in time and commemorate past Super Bowls. This unique match numbered souvenir coin collection commemorates the San Francisco 49ers Championship teams of Super Bowl XVI, XIX, XXIII, XXIV and XXIX. Each coin has a similar design of the current flip coins that includes dueling helmets, ribbons with team names and Super Bowl Commemoration on the front and the reverse of the coin features the Super Bowl Logo for that year as well as the date that the game was played. Super Bowl XVI: This coin features the NFL Shield as a replacement of the Lombardi Trophy and includes the score of the game on the front of the coin. San Francisco 26 Cinncinati 21. Super Bowl XIX: This Coin features the NFL Shield as a replacement of the Lombardi Trophy and includes the score of the game on the front of the coin. San Francisco 38 Miami 16. Through the years, The Highland Mint has expanded its production base from the bronze, silver, and gold Mint-Cards to a full line of medallions, and the company now produces and/or distributes a wide variety of fully-licensed sports and non-sports collectibles, including Mint-Coins and Photomints.
